My phone almost died on me yesterday and I ended up losing all 320-odd apps I'd installed because I hadn't backed up anything. It took me nearly 5 hours to get the phone working properly; nothing google suggested seemed to work either. Lesson learnt, always back up and never ignore signs of impending trouble, which in my case were random phone restarts.

Now I have just about 20 apps installed, don't really need anything more, cleaned up the SD card, no unorganized gunk anywhere, and a fresh setup for a fresh start.
