shot last weekend at my church's annual summer camping trip. one of the old testament passages we talked about was one in which the prophet elijah has hit a real low point in his life and wants to quit. he runs away and lays down depressed and exhausted (we might call it burned out, now). god feeds him and gets him to rest. this strengthens him so much that he travels to the mountain of god, where he first encounters storms and earthquakes and such ... until he finally encounters god face-to-face - in a still small voice that spoke to him, saying "elijah, why are you here?"
