I gotta be honest, here: It's looking pretty bad for the home team.
This was a fun page. Those little head-turn panels were a new thing for me, which I enjoyed quite a bit. Even better; For the first time since issue one, Sgt. Janston actually gets to, like, do something.
Jerry Cole there is meant to be a comment on how american politicians feel the need to weigh in on any and all big doings with some vaguely self-righteous diatribe, even when the real danger is far from over (or: how shutting up and assessing the situation is becoming a lost art). He also underlines the series' ongoing examination of the crippling power of cowardice. Cheers.

Gaaah his is frustrating - spend ages waiting for this to be resolved and it still could go anywhere! Good serial writing! Love the sense of menace which the Tengu brings to the story - you really feel he could kil any of our regular cast. I'm hoping Janston makes it through this scene - That little thought process sequence here has reminded me how much I like him! As always, great stuff, and (does it even need saying anymore!) I can't wait for the next part!
