What we have here is an homage to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, possessor of the nineteenth century's most awesome name and writer of the Sherlock Holmes stories. In the first Holmes mystery, "a Study in Scarlet", Dr. John Watson makes a list of his unusual new friend's talents and shortcomings. In her spare time, it seems Polly did the same.

POWERS AND ABILITIES
Strength Level: He possesses the normal strength of a man his age, height and build who engages in intensive regular exercise.
Known Superhuman Powers: Stephen DeMoge has no inherent superhuman abilities, save perhaps for his vastly superior intellect. His deep well of knowledge and preternaturally open mind constantly enable him to overcome adversities that logically should have been the end of him. His mind is also his greatest enemy; he is a paranoid schizophrenic, and unless properly medicated he can’t tell reality from delusion.
Abilities/Special Skills: The Fowl was a Black Sea Marine leased to the Israeli Mossad, and by that virtue possesses extensive experience in military and paramilitary actions. He regularly practices Krav Maga and Capoeira, dabbling in other martial arts (recently, he’s decided to take a stab at Nguni stuck fighting). Deep meditation and breathing techniques enhance his natural physical and mental prowess, hastens his recovery time, and facilitates “the subtle art of metaphysical deduction.”
Weapons Used: The Fowl typically relies on handguns, knives, and the occasional chemical agent. His torso of his costume is paneled with ceramic plating and Kevlar, while the rest of the outfit is reinforced with D3o (a flexible synthetic material that forms rigid armor upon impact). Naturally, the weight of the armor changes with the seasons. The cape is sort of fireproof.
BIO
Personality: A task-oriented manic-depressive, always busying himself with one thing or another to distract him from the looming issues that make up his life. His “civilian” persona is repressed, depressed, distant, and dour, while his “outlaw” persona is flamboyantly violent, sneaky, and brazen. He considers himself above the law, and certainly above the traditional rules of American morality. For all this, he is a truly decent human being who cares a lot more than he lets on. He really is big sweetheart underneath it all.
Personal Interests: Shakespeare, Bruce Springsteen, Civil War books, wine (he’s on a merlot kick right now), golf, waging a one-man assault on organized criminality rather than deal with his personal problems, and committing fraud against his own company to pay for the aforementioned jihad on crime.
History: Stephen DeMoge returned to Parris City in July of 2003 and began operating as the Fowl in November of that same year. In April of 2005 he married Erica Sinclair, who died of Lupus that December. As of August of 2008, the Fowl is still active.
