After a long wait I’m happy to finally be able to post this. This is one of the illustrations I made for the new Green Ronin book, Freeport: The City of Adventure for the Pathfinder RPG. The book has been in development for quite a while following their very successful Kickstarter campaign.

Vary nice! Is this the only illustrations you did for the book?

Thanks Bryan. This is one of three I painted for the book. I'll be posting another one soon. I saw your work for the book as well, awesome paintings and characters!

Thanks! I almost didn't post all of them. I am way better now and a one or two of them make me cringe to look at.

Haha I know how that feels. I'm only posting two of the three I painted

Yeah, I think I bit off more than I can chew with that fight on the peer. The one with the same iconic character.

I think you pulled it off well.

Don't know. The colors are too saturated and my tonal control and detail just aren't flying on this one. I think I relied way too much on the program to do the work for me and didn't spend enough time on good old-fashioned rendering.

I can see what you're saying. But I like it :)

The artwork is simply incredible. How long did you spend on this?

Thank you Kevin, this one took me a pretty long time. I usually spend about 30 hours on an illustration from start to finish. Then, as in the case with this one, if I have time I like to come back to it before the deadline with fresh eyes and work overtop of it to enhance things and correct anything I don't feel looks right. So this one probably took me around 40.

40 completely focused hours make for a great picture. :D
