I was in two minds about that. When I've done these in the past, the bananas have formed very regular columns of text and the "hidden" element often disrupts them in a way that immediately draws attention to itself. Putting it at the very end avoids that problem (but yeah, it means it's got fewer words around it to distract the reader).
