Description
"Anyone" is a nonoffensive term and is appropriate for the situation. Sorry about the terms used before, if you were offended. I was simply trying to think of queer labels, but I just managed to think up queer slurs.
Anyway. Updated.
Rewriting this since some people can't take a fucking hint:
I AM BISEXUAL. I AM CAPABLE OF LIKING ANYONE. I AM NOT PANSEXUAL. STOP ERASING MY VOICE.
Bisexuality has two definitions:
1. Attraction to two (hence bi) OR MORE genders.
2. Attraction to same (1) and other (1) genders, and 1+1=2...
Thousands of bisexuals identify this way, hundreds are transgender, hundreds are genderqueer. Bisexual groups around the world define bisexuality as "same" and "other". To say "only pansexuals can like anyone" and "bi = 2" and "bi means binary" is to erase all those bisexuals, is to erase real bisexual experiences and real bisexual people, is to exclude bisexuals from the discussion of their own sexual orientation as well as in some cases who they can and can not be loved by based on their gender orientation. It is bi erasure. It is biphobia. It is trans erasure. It is transphobia.
You do realize bipedal animals can and do still use all four limbs? BUT HOW CAN THEY DO THAT WHEN BI MEANS TWO??!?!?!? Or maybe there's something to be said about context of language and how a word develops and is used! Hm! Nah, couldn't be, right? Fuck you.
And at no point has "bi" ever meant "men and women". How ridiculous ARE you to claim that it does, in your argument of what the prefix means?
PANSEXUALS ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES CAPABLE OF LOVING TRANSGENDER PEOPLE.
To say this, is transphobic. It is saying that they are not "real" men and women, that they are "unlike" men and women, that they are "separate" from men and women. But this is false. Homosexuals, heterosexuals, asexuals, and bisexuals are all capable of loving a transgender person. Transgender is not a gender identity itself. It is a gender condition, like cisgender. In fact, pretty much 100% of bisexuals don't give a shit if their partner is transgender, and a surprisingly large amount of mono and asexual people don't either. BECAUSE IT'S THEIR GENDER IDENTITY THAT MATTERS.
The difference between bisexuality and pansexuality is which you prefer to identify as. It is like the difference between identifying as queer and identifying as gay - especially since people may call pansexuality as being "under the bi umbrella".
I am not ignorant.
I know what the identification of pansexual is. I don't need everyone and their fucking mom jumping down my throat and trying to tell me how I am "supposed" to identify and categorize myself.
I am not telling you pansexuality doesn't exist.
Identify as pansexual if you so choose, if that's what feels right. That doesn't mean I have to.
