Here's part 2 of the culmination of my work with :iconearthmanprime: - the back cover of a future collection of the short stories we've been doing together the last couple of years.  Type/logos to be added later.

Layout by :iconearthmanprime:, with final pencils & inks by me.

The back features a montage of three of the six stories - TA-GAID, American Made, and Weld.

You two guys did such a wonderful job! I want this book to be on my shelf, right next Tomine's Sleepwalk and Chadwick's Concrete!

I love how you create such delicate shading and linework using traditional ink and a pen.  Beautiful work.

Thanks, Zoe!  It's still a brush, I haven't used a dip pen in many years.  :)

Whaaaaaaaaa?  That's even more impressive.  I've experimented with a brush but found nibs my favorite tool.  I could not get the quality with a brush you do on a regular basis.

Your nib work is fantastic - I tried it for a couple of years but it sloooooowed me down.  Brush is much faster for me, and I think I have a better handle on it after I switched back 18 years ago.  :)

Good fucking lord, did I just say 18 years?

Did I mention that I commissioned a pro DA colorist for it?  I submitted it to him earlier with some basic color instructions (clothing, hair, skin, etc).

Glad you like it!  I think it turned out pretty decent, thanks to your layout!
