Hello there! I am back again. Finished Friendship is Failure #20 and I am more disappointed compared to #1 which share the same plot and premise.

The difference is that #1 focus on internal conflict while the #20 is external and it's like Luna Light has no internal conflict to work upon. Luna Light is basically worst version of Moondancer in Amending Fences, from her look and her attitude. It doesn't help how both of them blame Twilight while counting Twinkle, Lemon and Minuette as butter AKA the ponies that were loyal to Moondancer and got invited by her herself. Like Mother, like Daughter, uh? Selfish hypocrites.

Strange how Luna didn't burn the book containing Twilight (same idea as from Amending Fences) despise working on candles. She has not only study magic but read the Friendship Journal as well which it's the reason of her monologue. What happened to it? Did she burn it as well?

After reading the death scene, I have a feeling that Luna Light's husband will be disappointed when he meet her in the after life. Luna Light will tell him how Moondancer is a disappointment and how this cause their death only to receive a slap as a response. The husband is very disappointed and point out her hypocrisies and he is glad that sickness took him away to cut tie with her (consider Luna's selfish attitude, it implies that her husband cannot file a divorce). The dad is also disappointed in Moondancer for ignoring the tree friends and point out that Morning Roast is right and should have consider it. Thus, from now on, he will watch upon the sister, the sole survivor and his final words are "Good bye, good luck and Good Riddance". Now, this make me wonder why the husband is married to her.

I get that you hate Twilight and try everything to look like a standard story with a bad ending but sheesh.

It's your signature plot-element to there is a Friendship problem, Twilight make a plan to get them in the party (thus forcing them), something goes bad and we learn a lesson about Friendship Failure? There are so much potential about the Friendship Failure but can't reach because of this (and that's an opinion from reading two of the series).

I prefer the #1 over #20. (One thing I disagree is Stone Heart's cutie Mark. They are mean to be a positive mark, the epiphany of their talent. Why this give a negative image other than allegory?)

Reading this fan-fiction give me both feel of satisfaction and, as mentioned, disappointment. I will read Alternate Endings where the bad outcome works and should have been. (I could see it for the Maud episode)

I read your Friendship Denied (Amending Fences) Fan-Fic and I love it at first read. I even save it in my laptop.

I used to not care about this episode because of the Nightmare Moon mission, although the real mission is for Twilight to make friends and now, I despise it.

It's all because of Moondancer's fault. She didn't invites Twilight herself, only the three ponies. The first scene sound like the three ponies didn't know Twilight and ask her to join the party to know her. None of these sides are friends. Heck, Twilight doesn't want to work to Moondancer in the flash back. Even them are nothing alike.

Moondancer is a hypocrite of thinking "Friendship doesn't work for her" while she has the three ponies. Worst, she leaves the party and cut tie with anypony that are loyal to her because of one pony she didn't invite didn't show up. It implies that Moondancer values Twilight over others and the three ponies are nothing but extension of her selfish wants. And fans call this a crush. Pathetic. In the end, Twilight is nowhere to be seen playing with the four ponies.

I agree that Twilight harassing Moondancer and shoving forgiveness down the throat. Not every one want to be friends, as seen in "Griffon the Brush Off" and "A Friend in Deed". Twilight should have stop there but no.

Call Amending Fences a love letter to Lauren Faust is sad. This goes against the whole point of the pilot episode which portrays Twilight as a kind and polite pony who believe friendship is a waste of time and it's by meeting the Mane 5 she learns about the value of friendship and move to Ponyville learn more. I wonder how Faust reacts to this. I haven't seen any tweet or Facebook post about it.

Speaking of, what's your opinion on the Season 1 of FiM? Do you think the messages brainwash the audience?
