HighTail University Sera: Don't Ask
“Don’t. Even. Ask.”
Mumbled Sera, standing in the doorway of the Draft course classroom. She looked like a drowned rat. Her hair hung in thick wet mats; her uniform, the normal one, was half-soaked and barely clinging to her. It wasn’t often they were in the classroom for book learning, but she was thankful that today of all days, they were.
Professor Barnes, leaning against his desk at the front of the room, crossed his arms over his chest and looked her up and down while the rest of the class stared wide-eyed at the soaked woman.
“Everyone go back to your books. Miss Langford, with me for a moment?” He crooked a finger at her and motioned towards his private office at the back of the classroom.
Sera followed without words, glad for her Professor deflecting the stares of her classmates.
She stepped into his office, the door closing behind them, leaving her in the warm room which smelled of leather oil and cinnamon.
