I like him. I've viewed some of his material, including his Munk Debate on political correctness, read his Wikipedia, and I've ordered his first book (Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief) to give a flick through. As I immerse myself I'll give a more thorough analysis, but I have to say that I agree with some of his views.
Not all of them. For instance, while I agree with Mr. Peterson that the results of climate research are often used for duplicitous, fatally pessimistic rhetoric, I completely disagree that the scientific consensus itself is doubtful. I agree wholeheartedly with both his opposition to identity politics and his theory that the masculine identity is under assault and that this will have negative outcomes for young men, but I disagree that most (if not all) discussion about race or gender is simply post-modern group think. Although all of that is a simplification and may not be entirely accurate or fair to myself or Mr. Peterson.

Eh, guess we'll see.
I want to kill the dumb senior manager who thinks a fucking high-tempo string quartet is the best waiting music for Centrelink, especially as they play *one* song on repeat.
UPDATE: Still sick as a dog, but I soldiered on through some finance homework and feel 100% cleverer than I have any right to for it.
So I dunno how popular it is, but there is an alternate history discord -something I've never had prior to cleaning up this mess- and I just found out some idjit has been impersonating me on it, spewing edgy anime memes and spouting the N-word.
So I'd like to apologise even though it wasn't me, as anything offensive or denigrating he might have said affects people's perceptions of myself. So that wasn't me, and I apologise that someone was pretending it was. If your opinion of me has degraded because of that discord, please reconsider as I assure you I do not hold the same views as that impersonator.
I'm far too milquetoast to post edgy memes and I abhor the use of the N-word outside of, well, y'know, black people. Just clearing that up. Have a lovely day.
