Lol yes they are, but I always get the feeling that the translation isn't always accurate.  I'm looking at classes on a website called Skillshare to help me along; not to mention YouTube.  The one thing that always puzzles me about the Asian language is how long the letters are compared to the characters...especially in Korean, lol...it's very weird but interesting.  I think writing and understanding the characters will be the hardest part; if I had enough money I would so go to Japan for a while to study.  It is my goal, but of course I will need a guide ;)  My brother was station in Korea when he was in the military and he loved it; he talks about going back for a visit so if he actually does I will be right there.  I'm more interested in visiting the local places - not really the tourists spots; I want to see what the locals see, feel and taste.  And oh the food...I will be eating my way through Asia; it's fascinating to see how much art goes into making the dishes they create.  The gardens too are my favorite...I love nature; there's this Japanese Garden Museum close to me and they have festivals going on year round - it is so beautiful and soothing there.  It's called Morikami Japanese Gardens and Museum....love it.  I'm planning on visiting it once more; I'm signed up to their newsletter so I get updates on all the special events.  I feel like I'm rambling now Wink/Razz

I love nature place,too! so,I'll go to picking cherries,tomorrow!
Morikami Japanese Gardens? I heard that, first. this Garden is Florida?  the website photo looks beautiful..
and looks a lot of events in the place^^.
I guess, America is very very big,so this garden maybe large and big scale, right?
Probably you'll be surprised if you see Japanese gardens in Tokyo or Kyoto.

Picking cherries...awesome :) I lived in upstate New York for 5 years and went apple picking...loved it so; they taste so different from when you buy them in the store.  Eating them right off the tree is great.  Morikami, yes this garden is in Florida...about 45 minutes away from where I live in Miami so going there is a nice way to relax; the next time I go I'm going to take my sketchbook and camera.  I love alot of stories set around nature and the magic there; it's the reason why I'm attracted to fantasy and magical stories.  It's probably why Hayao Miyazaki is my idol / inspiration :) I would love to see an aerial view of this garden, but I am so sure it does not compare to the true gardens in Japan...I know when I do see them I will cryLove
