San Diego Legend

A design I drew up recently. An "Obey-ish" style poster design as a tribute to a San Diego legend.

Man, that style isn't as simple as I have heard some people claim. It isn't as easy as applying some filter! I will admit a few parts of this were live traced but if you know anything about Illustrator you would agree that live trace is never the final step. Sometimes it just creates more work trying to "clean up" all the lines.

Anyhow... easily 10+ hours went into this illustration. I am pretty proud of it so I really hope you dig it!

Anything that involves Junior is awesome in my book.

Also, I would use this as my iPhone wallpaper but the watermark is a real eyesore.

Glad you think it's iPhone-wallpaper-worthy! If I have your word that you'll only use the image for personal use, you can go to my portfolio page and snag it from there sans the watermark. ;)

Thanks, man. I'll be sure to carry this glorious piece of work with honor. And yes, this will be for personal use.

The only player on the 18-1 Patriots team that I had nothing but respect for. Hopefully he's in a better place now where his body and brain are no longer in pain.

I certainly do. After Junior's death, I too paid tribute with a painting. Glad to see others sharing his joy.
