Photojournalism Interview(s)#8 Daaram @: news.deviantart.com/article/80…

I'm proud and happy to be the N° 8 of this excellent series of interviews with Photojournalism photographers at D.A. You'll find the links to these very interesting news articles under my interview.

--------

In March 2009 I answered to another interview about my photos for a Polish newspaper called: "Dobry Znac". Marta translated the questions from Polish to English...and my answers from English to Polish (knowing that I'm French)! so it was really a collective work with my woman ! I really enjoyed to answer to Aneta Saks questions !

This is the link to the translation of this interview @: olivierj.canalblog.com/archive…
And the link if you want to download this newspaper issue in PDF in Polish @: gazeta-dobryznak.pl/index.php?…

Best greetings to all my friends and Dev Watchers ! :sun:

I started to do audible podcast of the members in my photography club called "Getting to know a South Florida Camera Club member" I did one so far and it was received very well. I now plan on doing a couple a month.

I did this interview in person using a recording device called ZOOM H2. I know this option would be hard for you because of distance, but I know there are many people doing podcast using Skype.

Let me know what you think and if you'd like to listen to my first try at this you can listen here: [link]

Thanks a lot for your comment ! Your interview with Helewidis was very interesting to read ! I just discovered your recording. I'll take the time to come back longer to your link. To record the sound of the voices is interesting but for myself I think that I'd prefer a video recording ! The visual part is essential to me ! ;-)

Best regards
Olivier

Thanks so much Olivier :) I think I'll be doing video too, but I think audio is easier to digest because you can listen while you drive a vehicle, or while doing other activities... video will be the next thing :)

You're most welcome ! I like your idea to listen to the recordings in the car ! with written interviews like mine with Helewidis I'm always a bit scared that people could be bored to read all this, and thinking that the photos don't need long speeches, but it could be probably interesting for someone who wants to know more about photographers and photojournalists !
A video at YouTube could be great ! or your podcast with a slide show of your works ! why not ? ;-)

Exactly! I listen to podcast while driving to work all the time. These are experiences that I know I would have missed out on if I would have had to read it... Hearing voices of the people I'm learning about is very pleasurable and adds a different dynamic that stays with me a long time :) I think video is awesome too but unfortunately it has a much greater overhead in production...

I don't have a car that's why I didn't think about this precise idea ! ;-)
I'm sure they are a lot of interesting ways to present interviews...but the most important is the content ! :-) at every interview I'm learning new things about my way to work and remembering things, reminders I completely forgot !
