Description
Characters that I've thought of at one point or another but ultimately didn't use;
Lullay - intended as a more antagonistic Celestial. At different points, she either looked down on Mirage as being a “brute,” or Macabre for his alignment with death. It should be noted, the idea of Macabre being a “reaper” has long since been dropped, and he was not yet an Infernal. Lullay was intended to be very well known for her singing voice, a trait later (inadvertently) applied to Aria.
Unnamed Rat Warrior - intended to have been a long-dead mortal. In life, he was a skilled swordsman, able to take on even the largest of predator species. On a related note, despite several centuries passing, he holds a deep grudge against Mirage. This is a one-sided sentiment.
Unnamed Tsuchinoko - initially intended to be a pet for Mirage, before immediately realizing that a deity keeping a pet would feel all sorts of off. Later intended to instead be a fan of her before being dropped entirely.
Marianne/Alpha-Mirage - the initial idea for the character that would be Mirage. When brainstorming a new character for a proposed fighting game, I suggested a female manticore, but this was rejected due to her similarities with the Japanese Nue, the antagonist of Tails of Babylon. In an attempt to revive the idea, considered to make her a huge fan of Mirage in the fighting scene, and even had a rather large crush on her. She would have been incredibly shy around her, though. The crush would have been somewhat short-lived, as she was intended to learn that Mirage was spoken for not long after. I’m sure that Caleb would get the trait of accidentally making a pass at Mirage before learning of Macabre, but changed that to simply being pressured to ask anyone out by his peers.
Unnamed Mouse - ...I wanted something cute for a bit.
