Mission Successfully Failed

Titus lives in a world of humans, anthromorphs, and grand beasts called Kaiju. In fact, Titus himself is a Kaiju, a grand dragon named Wildfire. In this world, Kaiju can take human disguises, still having some of their natural abilities such as tough defenses. Titus has been stepping on a lot of powerful peoples toes, since he’s trying to end corruption and the stigma against Kaiju and showing that they’re just as sentient as everyone else, though he has to keep his real identity a secret to most of the public. One of his enemies thought of having him assassinated by the haunt, Harriet.

Thankfully, since Titus still has the protection of his scales even in human form, just below his skin, there was nothing the Assassin could do before the summon wore off. Titus tanked all of her strikes, not having anything to worry about in the first place, and realizing that Harriet wasn’t in control during all of this. He’s a compassionate sort, and offered comfort to her when she broke down over what she was almost forced to do once again.

No doubt the politician who ordered the hit will be in for a surprise once he sees Titus again.
