Mirage: “You seriously made cross-shaped shurikens? Why?
Nikolai: “I looked at mortal religious symbols and decided that it would be beneficial to make some that double as anti-demon weapons. Don’t worry, they’re completely incapable of harming mortals or rogue demons like our friends.”
Mirage: “Um, isn’t that sacrilegious?
Nikolai: “The crucifix was a mortal execution device meant to maximize pain and suffering, to the point that they had to come up with a word specifically for how bad it was.”
Mirage: “…what do you want for a dozen?”
