Wake up, roll out of bed, get coffee.  I am already thinking too hard about writing this, I shouldn't.  It's against the rules of the morning pages, but I am writing this for public viewing so I am already breaking rules.  First thing in the morning.  Oh well, mainly its best to have a time constraint on writing because otherwise, it turns into an all-day affair, and I really have other things to be working on.
Cleaned up the craft room, it sounds better calling it a studio, but really it's just a room in my house.  But it's a little more organized now, it has good light in here.  Could stand to be a bigger area, but then I know for a fact, I would find more stuff to put in there and still be complaining I don't have enough room.  I got to get creative with storage, and I am trying to fight the urge not to completely rearrange the furniture.  Maybe just one little thing, I got to get my full-length mirror out from behind the bookcase, I was desperate to have another short bookcase in there and just kinda blocked it in.  And now I want it out.
Been very busy with finishing up a Wonder Woman cosplay for a very good friend, just got the sword to seal and paint, then boots to customize and then make the wrap around belt, so definitely coming down home stretch.  I might need to switch it up for a little bit, just so I don't get burnt out on doing it, I need to draw a little more on the portrait commission for another friend, who really has no time limit on, and that is a bad thing, for me anyway, because it seems like it always gets forgotten about.  I need to be better at setting my own deadlines, but I am a serial procrastinator, so there you go.  I know, that sounds like I don't try at all to fix my own failings, but I am working on it slowly.  I am aware.  Just life and stress really like to fight me sometimes.  And you know, you try to deal with it casually, like it's ok, I can handle ALL of this, yes I can!!  Ha! Nope, say your emotions, your brain tries to kill you, you need sleep and end up wondering if there is any non-illicit way that you can have to NOT sleep.  I mean, you could get so much more done if you didn't have to sleep right?  Well, no, that's bad.  Just sounds bad, because you know if anyone figured out how to channel that, it wouldn't be for the creative process, it would be held hostage and manipulated by corporate greed.  So, nevermind about that.
I am just working on it, I need to get to sleep early, wake up early, but its fucking still basically winter here and I hate being cold.  I wish this wind would stop.  But I am ok.  I will shorten this writing up a little because my phone is ringing, and I really have to accomplish doing my day job with wanting to be an art bum.  So here's to it getting warmer very soon, please!
Well, it has been a minute since I wrote a journal here on DeviantArt...a two year minute, wait three years, shit...oops.  Well, life, but I wanted to get back to writing here.  And posting new art a lot more frequently.  I had recently got back to working on my own projects about six months ago after getting done with the huge Doctor Who commission which was insane and very rewarding to me in learning different techniques, but insane in the time it took to complete, as well as the complexity in composition, size and characters.  But I would do it all over again.  However, after that, I was kind of burned out a little and didn't draw for awhile.  Just this last October, I got inspired to draw again and did a portrait of friends as vampires, using all the things I had learned on the Doctor Who project, and I am truly happy with the way it came out.  I felt I owed them a better portrait then the one I did for them ten years ago, and this was is exceptionally better and Halloween themed!  Did a few other little commissions here and there in the last few months, just wanting to draw, get the creativity out.  I started to read the Artist's Way by Julia Cameron, and that has been incredibly helpful to me in recovering a sense of creativity and a sense of yourself as an artist, and to not doubt yourself, just create, just do...even if it isn't your best work, even if its bad, at least your doing something to let that creative energy out.  So I have learned a lot about just going for it, and not to overthink too much about what or how or why, just create something you love and see what it turns into.  Get it on the paper, jot that idea down, fast, or it will be gone.  I have done that recently, as well as doing a thing from the Artist's Way, called the Morning Pages.  So as of right now, I have already written three pages of stream-of-conscious thoughts, and you wouldn't believe how much that actually helps with the creative flow of ideas.  So this is a little bit of an extension of that, I could probably ride that train right into here, an keep some journal entries flowing.  I think I might just do that...although I feel like I need to catch up with a lot of life events and such, but I think I'll just crash into this, will little to no back story.   Maybe as time allows, I will flashback to certain subjects as they pertain to the subject at hand, but for now, its just flow.  Peace. --B

Finally was able to get Copic markers, and I LOVE them, best art investment ever.

Been interested in a lot more comic book art here recently, and just been doodling a lot in my spare time on the road, mostly on Twitter :  you can find me @1977WSKYRNR

Also working on coloring the Doctor Who commission, Copics helping lots and also the colored pencil and Gamsol combo.  Also found some amazing paint markers from the UK, very fine tipped ones, which is helping with the space scenes.

Actually been getting comic books here recently from TFAW.com, current fav is The Wicked and The Divine by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie

And plus a lot going on with Gerard Way - new album Hesitant Alien will be released on September 30th, so I have been doing some doodles inspired by that

I have a lot to get posting on here

Well, this is the first time writing a journal on here in 2 years (OMG) but damn, the time really flys...

Anyway, since then I have went to school and got my CDL to drive semi-truck, and am now currently driving for Schneider National with my boyfriend.  So we have been doing that for about four months now, and it's going well.  Home time is decent, so when I do get home I work on art.

So to art now...

I am not taking any new requests from off of DeviantArt at this time.  I am currently finishing up a portrait for a former co-worker at MTE, of his daughter and wife.  I'm shooting for that being done by Monday.  Then back to work on a LONG time project for a friend of mine, a HUGE Doctor Who theme collage.

I have been collecting ALOT of art supplies I want to experiment with like Derwent's Inktense colored pencils, and Liquitex acrylics, and also probably getting a new airbrush here in the near future.  Definitely have bought a lot of books for inspiration, such as a Alphonse Mucha collection of art book and Rock Seen, a collection of photos by Bob Gruen, really cool pics.

Well, that's it, short and sweet.  I got to get to drawin'!
Hey everyone!

I am so happy to have found out about this website! I got these coming in a couple of weeks:

I got to thank the lady that did my hair for letting me know about this site! It is very affordable too, you can get 250 for $10.00.  I have been definitely wanting to get something done like this for awhile.  Anyway, Happy New Year to everyone!

HEY! Check out :iconseanpt: page and gallery!

Below is his journal explaining the situation, if you can, please help out! =D

Hi there all :D
So, on tuesday I finished my last course at the University of Victoria. I am moving back home (rent free) on Sunday. I'll be taking my last two pre-requisite courses at a local college in Vancouver this fall.
Now with that being said, I have all of August to try and make some money, and comission work from you all would really help me reduce the amount of money that I owe to the government and my bank.

I owe $25, 000 at this point (school is expensive! :ohnoes: )

Here are my prices (ps. sketch/pencil comissions are fastest and cheapest! so if you just want to help out and don't have much to spare these are easy and fast! :) )

:thumb252473728:

:bulletred: Payment Info
payments are via paypal, and I will start your comission as soon as payment is recieved :D

I will also mail you the original if you want it! :D (shipping is usually around $5, if you want insurance on the package I can look into those prices as well :) )

First journal entry in a long time.  I have been so occupied with work, been working Saturdays for the last like 5 months! And 9 hours every day during the week since the beginning of the year, shesh...  Good money, no time for drawing =(  Anyway, we will be back on 8 hours next week so I will have a lot more time.  I have gotten a lot done on the Doctor Who Project (see below) since I last wrote, and I will be working on getting some good shots of different sections of it.

I got A LOT better camera since last posting anything, so the details can really be seen now.  I am going to take full advantage of having three whole days off! LOL  Draw, work on the Lincoln, drink a little and shoot some fireworks (definitely not in that order) =D

And I have satellite internet now!! I can actually get shit done, omg, it was just ridiculous how we had to deal with dial-up so long, I mean, totally obsolete.

Ok, so a list of characters down below.  This is a pretty large collage, 24x36in, and things are constantly changing so I think I might need to update the list a little.

Well hope everyone has a good 4th of July!

The Doctor Who Project is still in the works, I have just been so busy this summer with work and all the auto restoration, and it has just been very hectic.  I really cringe when I see the it has been over a year since I made a journal here, ugh...sorry about absolutely no art in forever, but I am still drawing, and this is what I have been concentrating all my effort on:

THE BREAKDOWN:

The Doctor Who Project: Characters

:bulletpurple: Dalek Supreme

And in each corner will be a logo, one from the 70's, early 80's, late 80's, and the present Doctor Who logo.

All the logos have long since been drawn out, the Dalek Emperor has been added to this also, if he isn't already in the list.  I have Davros, the three Daleks, Dalek Supreme, the TARDIS all drawn out.  I am REALLY getting sick of drawing Daleks!!! LOL  The are so linear, so I am starting to draw the Masters out now, which is a very welcome change. Already pretty much got Delgado drawn, starting on Pratt, which is interesting.

I will try to get some good WIP pics soon, so maybe all my babbling will make a little sense XD

It has been awhile since I have updated my journal, so what better time to do it when I can take advantage of super fast internet! :XD: My brother begged me to take him to a cyber-cafe called the Crazy Penguins, so yeah, here I am.

Anyway, not much going on -- just had to help my grandfather take his car to the shop to have some brake work done and had to be there to bring him back home. Actually my brother drove him, he has his permit now, and wants to drive any chance he gets. LOL  I guess they are actually repairing the shocks also.  So...me and him have to wait at our grandparents house until we can go get it again, which should be today still...and this is how I ended up here.

Hey Eric, if you read this, I think you will really like this place. We should take you and Lisa here whenever you come up next! :XD:

Also, some art news! I have been requested to add a couple of characters to the Doctor Who Project. (1) The Weeping Angels and (2)Dalek Supreme.  And also I will use the Julian Bleach version (the new season) of Davros, I just kind of liked the newer one better, can't wait until the season finale of this season of Doctor Who comes in the mail from :iconevysther: =D

Anyway then, here is the updated breakdown of the Project--

The Doctor Who Project: Characters
:bulletpurple:The Beast
:bulletpurple:3 Ood
:bulletpurple:3 Cybermen (1 from the 80's, 1 from the present series, and 1 from the 60's)

Well, over the past couple of weeks, I have been compiling what images I'm going to use (provided by the very helpful :iconevysther: , who the project is for), taking measurements, and making a very basic sketch plan of where the characters are going to be, which he also gave me specifics for. =)

I have almost all the supplies I will need, pencils, ink, watercolor, the  board...although I need help with one thing.  Since I am going to be doing space scenes behind some of the characters, I thought airbrushing would be the best way to achieve good looking space.  If I do that, I was thinking about getting some masking liquid, which I have seen used alot in airbrushing and watercolor work.  Does anyone know of a good brand to use? I would like to be able to just erase it after working in that area, and it not leaving any weird color.

I just really don't know which kind would be best. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! =) And if anybody has any tips on airbrushing with watercolor, that would also be helpful! =D

But anyway, the whole thing is going to be 30"x40", same as the Godzilla Project. Here is a breakdown of who all will be in this bad boy:
The Doctor Who Project: Characters
:bulletpurple:The Beast
:bulletpurple:3 Ood
:bulletpurple:3 Cybermen (1 from the 80's, 1 from the present series, and 1 from the 60's)
:bulletpurple:3 Daleks (1 new style, 2 classic)
:bulletpurple:Davros
:bulletpurple:2 Ice Warriors (1 warrior, 1 commander)
:bulletpurple:2 Scarecrows
:bulletpurple:1 Seadevil
:bulletpurple:1 Slitheen
:bulletpurple:1 Sontaran
:bulletpurple:The Tardis (dead center of the whole thing)
:bulletpurple:Masters (Delgado/Pratt/Ainley in that order, in only head/neck shots)

And in each corner will be a logo, one from the 70's, early 80's, late 80's, and the present Doctor Who logo.

I have actually started drawing on the board, I'm starting with the logos on each corner, and have the 70's one drawn out. That's it.=| Long way to go...

I know it has been awhile since the project has been complete, but here is video I took of it shortly before it was handed over to :iconevysther: to take home to Ohio.  You can see a lot more of the detail and it really puts it in to perspective how big it actually is.  The only thing I regret about it is not having time to make a frame, since he is having a really hard time finding one for the odd size!  I wish I had time to make one myself.

So...I will be getting the stuff to start the Doctor Who project soon, hopefully this weekend.  And I have been made aware to keep it in framable size!! LOL I want to document this project well, so now that I have a youtube account, I will probably be writing more journals with the links to the WIPs.

Well, here is the video of "Project G": www.youtube.com/watch?v=c16JWd… =)

 Hey everyone!  Just updating a little.  I actually made a myspace account (finally LOL).  If anyone wants to check it out here is the link: myspace.com/scorpion_eyed_bonneville  =D  Yeah...gets to be pretty addicting. :XD:

Other than that not much going on -- well, other than my car being in the shop.  Something started sounding weird in the transmission, so we took the trans pan off, and found a whole cache of little goodies--a broken piece of a snap ring, a bolt, and more pieces of something, obviously someone had been in it before, and hadn't tightened thing up enough.  So that transmission needs a rebuild, needlessly to say.

Fortunately, we have a lot of different cars and were able to swap out another tranny from a 1972 Lincoln, which still has the C6 transmission. But it has been a long process, since in order to get the tranny out of that one, we had to pull the engine (it's locked up and w e were eventually going to pull it, although not in January!)  So all that is wrapped up now, got the good tranny in the shop, just need to install it.  :faint:

But that still is just the half of it -- when my boyfriend was taking the exhaust off (to get the tranny out of mine) he though the bolts were thru-bolts, but they weren't and since they were crusty broke off in the exhaust manifold!  So to cut this short, we had to take the whole fucking engine apart to drill out the exhaust manifold.  And now I need a rebuild kit for the engine, with gaskets and such.  :faint:

Anyway, enough of car talk...anyone else have a myspace account? =D

...it has been a LONG time since I've updated.  Well, you know, same :poo:, different day, always busy, too tired, insane gas prices, crowds, work, etc, etc :blahblah:. But enough with uneventful life complaining...and on to art stuffs. =)  But Thanksgiving was great! :XD:

Anyway, the big Godzilla project is DONE! Finished that up the morning of the day :iconevysther: and his wife arrived, which is cutting it pretty damn close, but it got done.  I finished inking it on November 9th, then spent two days drawing his and her portraits, then on November 11th started the coloring phase.  I really can't believe that I colored the whole thing in 10 days. :faint:  I will be posting pictures of the whole drawing, as well as detail shots, after posting this journal.  I will also submit their pencil portraits. =)

Sorry to all my watchers and friends that I have been so absent from dA in the last couple of months, not that I don't like commenting on your stuff or talking to ya, just hadn't had time, and you'll see why from the work I will be posting! =D

I am also going to start taking in work for pinstriping and other car restoration.  There will be an ad showing up in Hemming's Motor News, which is a huge publication for buying and selling antique cars,  finding and advertising services, parts locating, auto literature...they don't call it the "bible" of the restoration hobby for nothing.  So, we will see what might come of that. =)

The next project :iconevysther: has in line for me is a Doctor Who themed collage, I already have all the reference for that one.  I really have come to love the series, thanks to him I'm pretty much addicted! :shakefist: LOL  He sent me the 2005-2007 seasons, but over Thanksgiving we watched some of the older stuff from the 80's, which is obviously not as CG intensively amazing, but the storyline really makes up for it.  Anyway, more to come on that project in January--I need a little break! Nah...

:iconkeepitsimple-stupid: is having a Tarot Card Design project.  It sounds really awesome and I really want to work on something non-Godzilla related. :XD:  If anyone is interested in helping with the project, more info is here link or visit the club. =)

I am currently working on a comic, based off:iconaurontheunsent:s fanfic/comedy called the The Legend of Link. Here is Day 1 and Day 2 of the written version. I have finished drawing the 3rd, 4th, and 5th page of Day 1, which completes it. I will start drawing Day 2, as I finish inking and coloring the pages of Day 1. Page 6 of Day 2 is complete, and I am working on the rest of that Day, hopefully to be finished soon. The written version of Day 3 and an offshoot to the story, suggested by :iconworldofemotion:, is here--Legend of Zelda? Day 1.

And I have another commission by :iconevysther:  This time it is a large drawing of Godzilla and all of his advisaries throughout the films, like Mothra, Ghidorah, and others like that. He is nice enough to send me a CD of screenshots, textures and angles of the monsters, with read-me's about the positions he wants them in. This is a very long term project--the deadline for this is Thanksgiving 2007.

He has also currently added another project, which will be an anniversary present to his wife. It is going to be a pencil portrait of the two of them!

For the past month or two, I have been helping justsomedude86 with a series of inking tutorials.  So, coming soon (probably this weekend) we will be starting an inking club, for anything and everything inking, those who work with the medium in all levels, as well as those just a fan of inking.  I will update when the club is up and ready to go also.

However, we are looking for a third moderator to help with the club.  Anyone can help, but a few very minor qualifications would be helpful:
-Knowledge of inking and variations
-Have actual work of inking in their gallery (tools used for application do NOT matter)
-Reliable and able to meet deadlines

If anyone is interested, just note me or justsomedude86 =)

Also, as of late, I have been working really hard on the big Godzilla piece for :evysther:  Maybe a little later I will post some WIP pictures  of the detail in the faces.  I hate my camera with a passion, and they don't make a scanner big enough for an approximately 2ft x 3ft piece of illustration board.  And no matter how much light I get on the surface of the drawing, the stupid piece-o-crap camera still gets it blurry. Agh...I just have to deal with it, although its probably on its way out anyway...ha, okay, sorry about the camera rant! =D

WIP pics coming soon! :XD:

Everything went great this weekend. First of all,:iconevysther: and his wife Lisa got here around 4:30-5 o'clock Friday afternoon, we just mainly chilled out, talked and watched some movies Friday night.  He had burnt my family and I a lot of DVDs, mainly Masters of Horror and Doctor Who episodes. Now we have some new stuff to watch when everything on TV is crap. He also brought a scanner for my computer upstairs, which I could really use for art purposes, and they brought my brother's graduation gift (a strategy guide for Grand Theft Auto's Liberty City Stories).

On Saturday, we met my grandparents at a nice pizza and Italian cuisine restaurant, celebrating both my dad's birthday and my brother's graduation.  Later that night we went to Barnes and Nobles, had some cappuccinos and  looked at books and magazines.  There was this one huge book of the world's greatest cathedrals, really beautiful full color photos and floor plans.  I turn it over, and it was $100. Ha! No. But I did find a particularly stunning cathedral, the Duomo di Milano in Italy.  Here is a link with pictures and info Milan Cathedral What struck me most fascinating about this is its size and the amount of ornate art on every tower, especially how each of them have a statue at the very top.  My brother bought "Tony Hawk-Between Boardslides and Burnout -My Notes From the Road" which I read a lot of that night.  I love the way he writes about is experiences.  I want to try and get his autobiography--"Hawk: Occupation: Skateboarder", which I rented once from the library.  Since my boyfriend couldn't make it with us, I managed to get him "Warriors from Medieval Japan" by Stephen Tumbull since he is REALLY interested in that, and so am I.

Sunday was Wing Ding, we left for it about 6:00 p.m and finally got into the place while Buckcherry was playing.  Luckily after we got in, they played their best songs imo "Everything", "Sorry", "Lit Up", "Crazy Bitch" and "Ridin'" That place was insane when they were on, I could tell that a lot of people (including myself) wanted to see them mainly.  When bras, bottles, toilet paper, and shoes stopped flying, we walked the track (it was held at the Rockford Speedway) and talked about the crazy shit going on everywhere.  I wasn't sure what bus was Buckcherry's, so we walked around the other side of the track and spotted Josh Todd taking pictures.  Unfortunately, I didn't get my chicken ass over there fast enough to get an autograph, although I did manage to get them from Keith, Stevie D, and Xavier.  JT took off with some skanks and never came back, oh well. All in all, the performance was great and I had an awesome time, the weather held out lovely, it had rained a little earlier in the day, but the sun was out when we were there, not to hot and not to cold.

My apologies to :iconworldofemotion: for not getting back on chapter one of her fanfic.  I will now since the weekend has wrapped up and my company is gone.  I can't wait until they can come back, hopefully for Halloween.

I figured it was time for an update.=) I can't wait for this weekend!! :iconevysther:and his wife Lisa are coming up to visit my family and I. They are so much fun, everytime they come up to Illinois we go to Barnes and Nobles (I  that place!!:excited:), watch movies, we have a really great time. So anyway, they are thinking about moving here, so I really wanted to show them other things around the town.  It just happend that this weekend the Wing Ding rock concert/festival is being held, I figured it would be a great opportunity for them.  Hopefully the weather holds out, no rain PLEASE! The band I am most interested in seeing is Buckcherry, hehe, yeah I just can't wait for the weekend!!

I found this out from :iconworldofemotion:'s journal.

More information can be found at :iconshinerai:'s journal here link  He gives all of the links for the petition page and the actual video of this horrible deed.  This is utterly sickening, and what makes it worse is that the filmmaker actually won an award! Completely ridiculous.  Instead of a damn reward, he and anyone affiliated with it, should be slapped with felony cruelty of an animal.

Well, they decided to come early, April 7 instead of what the vet told us, I haven't been able to update until now because I'm SO BUSY. She went into labor at 11:30 a.m.

1st Puppy

After she had the first one, she went a long time without anymore, we took her to the vet, just in case anything was wrong.  While at the vet, she dropped the second one right on the exam room floor!  It was okay and she was okay, just getting tired.

Group in Basket

On the way home, she had three more in the car!! All of them okay, this makes the total up to five now. After every thrity minutes to an hour she would have one, by 7:38 p.m we had nine pups.

Feeding

We had to stay up with her all night, taking shifts and sleeping when we could, LOL.  At 5:00 a.m. on Sunday April 8 she had the tenth pup, who we thought was really a long shot but it was very responsive and started to cry after five minutes of rubbing. =)

After the tenth pup we thought she might have been done, so we took her to the vet again for the clean out shot.  However, the vet felt her belly and thought one more migth be in there.  So, they took an x-ray, and there were actually TWO puppies left.  The vet gave her the clean out shot anyway, it would help alot.

We did make it the car ride home this time.  At about 11:15 a.m. she started pushing out one of the two.  Unfortunately, the eleventh one didn't make it, I think it just had spent too much time in the birth canal, and when it came out, it had a greenish hue.=(  But at 11:43 she had the twelfth pup, a large grey male, who, suprisingly was okay and responsive.  Born exactly 24 hours from the first one!

All and all, and for her first litter, she did VERY well.  A very big litter for her first time and only one casualty.    The pups are all nursing and look very strong, we do have one runt, but even she is doing very well.=D  In total, 5 males and 6 females.  And ALL GREY!
