Huh, I'd never heard of the Anglo-Corsican Kingdom until now...that's quite cool! :iconddraigtanto:, are you seeing all these maps?

Yep, i hadn't heard of it also before doing these maps.

I have no idea how I missed it when I was reading up on this era ages ago - I was trying to improve the depiction of the Napoleonic Wars in Europa Universalis, so I did a lot of reading into the short-lived states and territorial changes - I must have just figured it stayed part of France and not looked it up specifically.

Thats what happens to me also sometimes. It was the case with Danzig in those maps. I just didn't look carefully into the area on my reference maps and just missed it.
Someone over on reddit told me that i missed it, so now its corrected.
It was a part of Poland-Lithuania till 1793.

It often helps to look into as many different maps as possible and Wikipedia often has lists with historical states from different eras. Although they sometimes are incomplete or not too accurate. Still, it helps to get an overview.

The worst part about the pages on Wikipedia is that a LOT of them contradict each other...I remember agonising over certain areas because the dates as to when the borders changed differed on multiple pages. Also, sometimes the English Wikipedia would be notoriously vague about something and then on the corresponding page in another language there'd be a MOUNTAIN of information. For instance, the German and Dutch Wiki pages have big articles on short-lived "General/Provisional Governments" that were set up in a number of states ( nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voorlopi… & de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generalg… ) which I don't think are mentioned anywhere on the English Wiki...

True, those aren't mentioned in the english Wikipedia.
Despite this, i have to say i found the English Wikipedia much better, because its way quicker to get dates and information out of it.
And it was relatively rare - for me - to find confusing dates.
Another thing: although the german articles on these provisional governments are quite long, they are still relatively vague.

Maybe they've fixed it since the time I was modding...or perhaps I'm thinking of another period I was modding with contradictory dates (there were quite a few; I remember struggling a lot with certain historic events).

This map looks a bit too small.

I have problems reading the text.

Should be better now - DA sometimes switches the resolution back to
standard, which is always too small for my maps, thanks for the hint!

Better!

Looks great!
