Welcome to November's 3D Gallery monthly contest! This month we're going back in time to visit the Vikings! Your entry should be something to do with vikings, furniture, characters, scenes whatever as long as it's 3D! Put on your pointy horned hats and get ready to rock with this month's theme!
Here's this month's challenge:
Create a viking-themed 3D artwork, submit it to our contest gallery by 11.59pm, 30 November 2011 to be in to win!
Submission
Please submit your entries to the 3D contest gallery! Let me know if you are having trouble submitting.
Prizes:
First Prize
700 DA points a feature in next month's gallery bulletin
Second Prize
Your winning entry featured in next month's gallery bulletin
Third Prize
Your winning entry featured in next month's gallery bulletin
Criteria:
You will be judged on the following criteria, so make sure you think carefully about each of them while creating your masterpiece:
How well your submission relates to the theme
The overall technical difficulty of your creation
General aesthetics (How nice it looks as a whole)
Creativity and originality
Rules:
All entries must be submitted to the 3D contest gallery in the community relations group
Submissions close on 30 November 2011 11.59pm GMT. The timestamp from the group gallery submission (link) will be taken as the submission time, NOT the time your item is uploaded to DeviantArt
The main feature of your work must be in 3D and the overall piece must not be completely painted over (some post effects and tweaks are OK but you must be able to provide a wireframe and the original render on request)
Your deviation description must have a link back to this journal.
You may submit up to 2 entries to this contest.
All entries must have been submitted to DeviantArt after the timestamp on this journal.

In addition to myself, we had KeremGo who has just finished his tenure as 3D community volunteer, Athey who runs the fantastic group 3dmodeling and WillowXD who runs both the The3DArtistClub and 3D-Step-by-Step-Help. Please check these lovely people out, they have made huge contributions to the community and are dedicated in their efforts to help you out.
If you know a deviant who is very helpful in the 3D community and think they may like to judge this month's contest, feel free to leave a comment suggesting them
