Welcome to March!
This month's started with a bang and a lot of discussion about the subcategories of the 3D gallery. You can join in the discussion here.
The discussion's managed to remain pretty polite and constructive, so a big thank you to everyone for that
We have a few other things on the agenda, including an exciting new format to our monthly contest (so that should be cool), a few great features, and news from around the gallery.
Feel free to leave feedback and suggestions of things you'd like to see in future editions in the comments section.

In the Industry
The new trailer for Witcher 2 looks pretty amazing. It's interesting how game trailers are starting to move away from game resolution and becoming production shorts. Check it out:

Current News:
:dev3D-Charactrs: are running their March Challenge - The Player Character, which ends on the 31st of March. 3-D-ART are now on Facebook! The3DArtistClub are talking shop! DAZCreativeContests have extended their Destiny Armour Contest, which now ends on the 1st of April (let's hope they're not pulling our leg 
) CGPINUPS would like votes for their new contest theme! Bel-Social are working on Issue 4 of Bel Magazine, and have also launched a new contest. More details here! SpeedyThemes are holding regular Speed 3D events. Check out their Chatroom too. Please note me to have your group news mentioned here and I will update

We're starting a new format for the monthly contest, which will make it a bit more fun and varied, and cut into your time a bit less.
This month's contest task: Note Cymae a colorful deviation by someone else (not yours) about birds (or a single bird) with less than 500 page views!
Your image should be sent by the 31st of March at 11.59pm GMT (Click here for your local time).

Monthly Deviant Feature: Promising Artist
Each month in this bulletin, a promising and upcoming artist will be featured. This is an artist who shows a lot of potential and vast improvement is evident through their gallery. You are welcome to note me suggestions for next month's candidate just as you would note me a Daily Deviation suggestion.
This month, our featured deviant is ehnoi
ehnoi's gallery is not very big, but his art is quite clever in its simplicity. Using very basic shapes, textures and bright colours, his work is very striking and unique.

This is an artist who has many high quality works of art in his gallery, and we take the opportunity to look at their work as a whole.
