I made this a few years ago with the objective to stay as faithful to the original design as possible.
At the time all the templates I could find were basic edits using nearby visible regions of the background
to hide the text and blurring everything out so it is less obvious. I thought it looked terrible, so I started
this project of recreating an extremely faithful master, with careful planning. Here is how it was done :

- Scanning all my monster cards at maximum  DPI
which means scanning card halves and combining them afterwards, since at maximum precision my
scanner only can handle small regions at once.
- Calibrating colors so all the scans match
the color changes slightly from a card to another, ditto for scans.
- Cutting around all the texts to make them transparent
- Stacking all the scans
this way, we can combine all the visible regions on all the cards to make an almost empty card.
- Editing every layer to remove imperfections
- Smoothing transitions from a layer to another

The master is 22,279 by 32,442 pixels and weights approximately 736.9 MB.
Only Gimp could make it possible (10GB raw, Good thing I have tons of RAM).

Obviously this master is useless, so I scaled it down to the size of the official proxies images distributed
by konami (813 by 1185 pixels), which I believe to be also the size of the printed cards.

Enjoy !
