Meteor
Alt Title: The Final Despair
By J.C. Solis
We thought our legacy would still live on
We never thought all our deeds would be gone
We never thought that we would look this weak
That Fate would now come and make us all meek
We always dreamed of our eternity
Able to travel through Time and Space free
We always dreamed that we would travel far
Thinking, against Space, that we were on par
But our own hubris was prideful, not brave
For we have secretly dug our own grave
We thought we were a match… no, we were not
We thought we’d win if we tried hard and fought
We lived on our planet of prideful sin
Not knowing, deep down, the price of this din
We thought we always would be living true
We never thought that one day we would rue
Every human on Earth now weeps and cries
For Every Last One begins to ask why
We never knew that this rapture would come
If so, we’d never have lived life so numb
Every last Sinner and Saint must now go
Every last life must now face this
