Why do you try to improve yourself? We both know that's an impossibility.
You've been trying the same tired old tactics for years, endlessly being shoved and pushed at by the people around you.
Except you haven't actually tried them, have you? You're so afraid of losing what little of your inner child you have left that you push away anything and everything that might drive it off.
You tell everyone else that it fuels your creativity, but is that really the case? Or is it just an excuse to blurt out anything that comes to mind through your hands and onto a word document, stringing tired old characters and predictable plots together like they actually mean something?
You've always been told to step away from your screens and interact with the real world, but it may as well be the other way around. Your life's been tied to your computer ever since you started playing Broderbund games, and that won't change in this lifetime.
It's become so obvious that even your parents are noticing. You tell them you've got passions, but if you had your way you'd never work a day in your life. And your attitude towards your latest set of supports isn't helping anyone. At this rate, you'll be nothing but a washed up, jobless bum just like the ones you see on the street every time you step outside.
And the hilarious part of all this? You've been doing this dance for so long that you don't even care anymore. You're numb to it all now. The only thing you're developing these days is your sarcasm, and even that got stale years ago.
Face it. You're nothing. You will never be anything. No matter how hard you try, no matter what path you take, it'll always end up at the same place:
Rock. Bottom. Where you belong.
