So much for winter. According to pre4dictions, we're not having any actual winters over here until, say, 2015 or something. The average temperature for this winter was above zero, there's not been a single flake of snow, and the worst we've had to worry about is high water.Fine with me, though. Means I don't have to trudge through thirst cm of snow with my bike to get to wherever, trains actually go to places, and your ears don't freeze off. Apparently, that's what an average winter for the Netherlands is *supposed* to be like. Well, I certainly hope I'll finish my BA/MA and get to work in Egypt, or maybe a nive heated museum, if you catch...

Hello DeviantArt!Summer is ending, autumn is on the way - but what's this? Weather here in the Netherlands has been more than perfect this past week, and I've been doing some actual physical labour this weekend. With all the sun and the heat, it's been perfect for working in the garden. This garden of ours is a mess, we moved into a new house last march and it was terribly neglected. I need to do something. Upload a picture. Whatever.Anyway, it's summer, and the weather is *$^* crap. Thrusday was a minor (?) storm int he west of the country, which is where I was at the time. They had to pull down a 60 meter tall chimney in Rotterdam because it almost got blown over. And there I was, wanting to get to the trainstation so I could go home (two hours by train, then a little bus drive. It's doable.) and there's this bloody storm raging outside. Thank the gods then for my new housemate, who's moving in into the room above mine. The previous girl finished her study, and she's moving in with her bf. My new housemate (roomie? h...
