My Bio

Not much to say about me. I live in Kansas, USA, I like cats, and my interests in art and entertainment in general are wide and varied; so long as they don't offend my sensibilities, I'll view them. I work full-time as a researcher for an abstract company (that is, title insurance and property research), and I walk every place in town that I need to get to.

I don't draw much, and my desire to do so comes and goes with my mood, memory, and motivation. I'll do something from time to time, but don't expect much out of me, whether it's my art or the quality of such.

For those interested in my fanfiction, here's my Fanfiction.net link; be warned that outside of my more recent works, however, much of what is on there is of low quality.

My bread and butter is my Casual Failure series on YouTube, in which I play through old video games and grade my performances based on how much damage I took, how much energy and how many lives I end up losing. If you're interested, search for "Curtis Wildcat - Casual Failure", and you should find it.

I'm in the process of re-posting some of my fiction and misc. writings over at Archive of Our Own. You can find them here, but fair warning that the content in at least one of my stories treads a very thin line.

Also, my Twitter page, for those few that are interested.

Finally, I have a blog that I've pretty much lost interest in.

I'm sure a fair number of you have been getting random offers from people to do commissions of your characters and such, assuming you have any. Text that looks like it's been copy-and-pasted from one offer to the next, that sort of thing. Back on August 20th, I decided to try a little experiment. I used a logo generation website to create a message that explicitly said (paraphrased): "I am not interested in commissions." I uploaded it, then made it my profile's cover image so that anyone could see it plain as day. Sure enough, the very next day, I got the exact same offer that I've been getting, thus proving to me that whoever's making those offers doesn't really pay attention to what I've posted. It's all just spam. So I deleted the message, and I've made the decision that I'm no longer going to acknowledge the people who send those offers. Any messages or chat requests from them go straight to the trash bin. Sometimes I wonder about people. Other times I just

For anyone wondering: No, I don't have the money to afford commissions at this time. Sorry.

I just wanted to let you know that "Woolgathering"'s hiatus MIGHT be ending soon. The artist I commissioned to draw the artwork of Ellen Harrison that I wanted got in contact with me today; there's still a few people ahead of me on the list (and it was a long list), but after two long years they're finally nearing the point where they're ready to get it worked on. I doubt I'll be able to devote a lot of focus to it right now; I'm currently working on "Manehattan's Lone Guardian" at present, and I am terrible at splitting my focus between multiple projects. However, I'll let you know when the artist has finished their work. And if I'm able to resume Woolgathering, y'all will be the first to know. --Curtis Wildcat
