Literature Text

Have you seen Respect?

Where is Respect?

I haven’t seen her in a very long time.

She’s gone missing, is she alright?

Let’s find her! We need her!

Where could she be?

I’ll wander the world just to find her.

Where are you, Mrs. Respect?

Show yourself, where are you?

Give me a clue where you are.

Oh look, a trail of blood!

Let’s follow it...

Oh no, we’re too late.

Mrs. Respect is full of bloody scars,

They’re burning her on a stake

While she screams in agony.

Poem meaning - it's about how respect isn't valued like it used to, now it just died

Finding Lost Respect

In the depths of shadows, where honor wanes,

A seeker's heart yearns, to find what remains,

Lost respect, once cherished, hidden from eyes,

Seeking solace, whispers of truth to arise.

Through desolate valleys, with fragile hope,

We wander, weary, on life's fraying rope,

In search of the fragments, scattered afar,

To mend the bonds, tarnished by endless scar.

In the furrows of time, memories reside,

Whispering tales of empires that collide,

Their echoes ignite a fire within our souls,

To reclaim the respect, ever so bold.

For respect, a fragile tapestry we weave,

Woven by kindness, the warmth we perceive,

A symphony of virtues, harmonious blend,

In its absence, souls twist and descend.

Through lands of forgiveness, we tread with care,

Cleansing ruptured hearts burdened with despair,

Rekindling empathy, like a gentle flame,

To navigate a path, drenched in love's sweet name.

Oh, the power of grace, its grandeur profound,

Rekindling hope, where despair once was found,

For respect, the sacred currency of peace,

A treasure within, that never shall cease.

In every gaze, in every tender touch,

Respect dances, in hearts yearning so much,

For when lost, it lingers, a haunting ghost,

Guiding us on a journey, healing the most.

So let us wander, brave and resolute,

In quests for lost respect, no matter its root,

Knowing deep within, its essence remains,

And with open hearts, we shall break our chains.
