Blackwater describes the water, not the betta.
Oh, ok. There were a lot more types of bettas than I thought, so I was wondering if it was one I hadn't heard of
It has an appearance of being made of ceramic; especially around the tail and fins.

I also run a blackwater tank, i really love the look and my shrimpies like the botanicals to munch on!
I only recently learned about the benefits of humic acids and pretty much fell in love with the blackwater look they add. The brown-golden colour of the water is just like my definite aesthetic. :')
