Eryn rubbed her eyes sitting in the loading dock with the trailer and truck running. She yawned and rested her forehead on the steering wheel.
She had been up at 6:30 am putting the horses the into the pasture now he was picking up Skye who went to RPS to personally retrieve the newest addition to CUC, an Obertaurer colt. Although Skye had hoped for a filly she knew that this little guy would take a loving spot in her heart beside Mentirosa, her primary dressage mare.

Skye finally walked out with her luggage in one hand and a bouncing an alert creme coloured colt in her other. Eryn jumped from the truck to open the trailer for Skye.
Skye dropped her bags at Eryn's feet instead and opened the trailer herself, walking the colt inside. After a good half an hour trying to get the colt to understand the trailer was where he was staying, not with Skye, the two made the hour long drive back to CUC.

Skye unloaded the colt out and he swung hihs rear around, wide eyed looking out at the fields of CUC. He looked back to Skye with a gleam that screamed 'I will get into everything'.

He shoved his nose into her chest and nipped at her silver hair.
"Hello there beautiful!" She scratched his neck.
"Guess I got myself a pretty new eventer, but he is gonna be in dressage!" Skye kissed his pink nose then turned his cheek. One of the two blue eyes was half brown.
"Eryn did you see this?" Skye asked, a smile playing on her face.
Eryn looked at the colt's eye and shrugged.
"I knew you'd be special" Skye trotted the colt out towards the pasture.

She turned him loose and he bolted, kicking up the snow, rolling in it and prancing everywhere.
After a healthy romp he laid in the snow and sighed.
'This is more like home'
