Leveling UpCurrently, I am still trying to figure out the EXP amounts, so there are no exact numbers yet. However, the following actions can be used to gain EXP:
Drawing or writing about a Character you own
Having someone else draw or write about a Character you own (Commissions are OK)
In addition, you can get extra EXP for the following:
Responding to a Prompt involving your Character
Someone else drawing your Character (for free)
Completed drawings/writing must be tagged so I can see them and/or submitted to the group. There is a slight EXP penalty for commissioned drawings, however, they still give EXP.
Current and required EXP for leveling is always listed on the Character's page.
EvolutionCertain creatures in the group are capable of evolving under certain conditions. These will be listed on their deviation page.
CTnet (https://www.deviantart.com/ctnet) will become part of the EvoCrit (https://www.deviantart.com/evocrit) project soon. You can read the TOS for those here: https://evocrit.com/tos.php. Additionally, having a CTnet character now requires an EvoCrit account. All completed characters will be retained, as long as you make an account on EvoCrit.
Notice: Super Group + Event Info Coming
As you may have noticed, CTnet (https://www.deviantart.com/ctnet) is now a Super Group. I will be changing the layout, as well as adding new content and properly starting the Burst Intro event shortly. In addition, there will be a few new things added now that there's Super.
Event: Burst Intro (WIP)
This event will be an event to get a Burst Shard. This can be any type of Burst Shard, and you don't have to have your Character drawn yet to get one. I will be adding some NPC art to the gallery (and below), and there will be prompts for this event involving them.
Class is mostly cosmetic, although it also affects which species skills your Character is able to learn. When picking a class, you can also often pick a weapon. It's advisable to check the class aptitude list before choosing one, to see which is the best for the species you are using. Starting ClassesThe following classes are available from the start. Mage: A class that can use a variety of different types of magic. Mage skills that can be learned depend on the species' type(s).
