Down through the field
Across from the sea
Into the ancient woods
Just follow me

A little bit of pixie dust
A flick of the wrist
Step into the fairie ring
The world fades into mist

Open your eyes sweet one,
There's nothing to fear
You're in a land of wonder
Don't be shy, come here

Welcome to the land of fantasy
A place of magic and lore
Where creatures of every kind roam
Never seen by mortal eye before

These lands are sacred
A tradition as old as time
But you have been chosen
To enjoy the fruits of our kind

As mystical as Avalon
More magical than Merlin himself
This place is our home
But we share it with you, our guest

Take in it's beautiful lure
Get lost in songs of the Sirens
Dance till dawn with the Fey
Enjoy each day until it begins again

Fly on the wings of Pegasus
Feel the strength of giants tall
Explore the caverns of the dwarves
Let they're magic sweep you into the Fall

Time has become irrelevant
You're in our Land now
Let it take you in!
Just follow the tunnel down

What is wrong?
Have we scared you this night?
Pay it no attention
Everything will be alright

I'm sorry, but you can't leave
Our games have just begun
You're here to stay
Underneath our eternal sun

There's no way to escape
You'll be happy here with us
The decent has already started
Just give in, you simply must

See now, it wasn't that hard
All is right with care
You've finally found your happy ending
Forever locked in this endless nightmare
FOr #poetry-book's Scratch That! Round 5

This is an interesting exploration into the realm of the mystical. I like how you incorporated the different mythos (Celtic and Greek) into this capturing the feel of being lured into a world that by many people in "modern society" only half understand and only partially experience. (I believe that earlier generations had a more intimate understanding of this since they lived in a world where the mystical was an everyday experience and concepts like scientific rationalism had not yet come to hold sway over the majority of people.)

The song of the Sirens and the call of the Fey are well used here as the snares that entrap the unwary. The ending is quite effective showing that the dream worlds for which many people wish to find can often turn out to be nightmares that are inescapable. Overall, I enjoyed it.
