Hey everypony! It's finally the time to announce the three winners for the 2nd part of our competition! Like you most likely know, the 1st place winner will receive a Crystal Fair T-shirt, and all three pieces will be part of our Charity Auction.

Without further ado, here are the winners:

3rd Place:

Huussii:

[This was a] Good idea, a decent implementation. It's a nicely thought-out picture of a traditional lakeside cottage view. There's a lot going on in the picture and the artist has clearly put a bunch of effort in with thinking about the scene. It feels Finnish.

Rautakoura:

[The artist] Hit the nail on the head with this one. Lakeside summer cottages are the pinnacle of relaxation. The thought of spending an entire day (and sometimes the night, since during the summer the nights are bright) with friends going between a sauna, swimming in a lake, and BBQ'ing makes me miss summer already…

2nd Place:

Huussii:

[This is a] Great idea with a good implementation and use of characters. It digs into Finnish folklore, The Kalevala, one of the deepest national treasures we have. The small details like including a ponification of the jawbone harp and even ponifying the Sampo itself makes this a really refreshing picture, which made it a really tough fight for first place. It feels bad to put either one of these below the other.

Rautakoura:

[This was] Another clever idea. There are few things in this world more Finnish than The Kalevala, and ponifying what is probably the most well known piece of art about it nets a nifty amount of extra points. Poor Gilda though, that spear has got to be painful.

1st Place:

Huussii:

[This is a] Good idea paired with great design and implementation. The piece really stands out among others in the whole competition folder both visually and conceptually. It also boldly introduces some original elements into the coat of arms and is not just a direct ponification by itself. Through this one I am reminded that this competition isn't just about Aurora representing the ponification of Finland.

Rautakoura:

[I] Gotta say, I haven't seen a ponified coat of arms before. The idea is pretty darn clever, and it's been well executed. With crisp and clear lineart, and vibrant colours, it is a fitting representation of our glorious lion (minus the headstabbing).

That's all for now, Crystal Fair congratulates all the winners! Keep in mind, this wasn't the last part of Ponify Finland, there are three more winners to be chosen in the final part. You can find it here!
