Due to the small number of submissions to the final part, only the first place winner wins a t-shirt as well as a Crystal Fair keychain! We decided to highlight the first runner up as well, and the creator has a chance to donate the creation to our charity auction if they wish to do so.
And here are the results:
It's so TINY and so CUTE HGNNN. I can't imagine it's entirely too easy to knit on such a small scale and make the shape so accurate. Using the look that the material choice gives it also lends it that "traditional" handcrafts feel, which is always a bonus in my book. Simple, but well executed.
A lovely, simple, and especially well presented. The colors are so woodlandy, and there's just something so calm about the whole thing. Reminds me of dolls children used to make back in the day in poor countryside conditions.
First Runner Up
If you played with playdough as a kid, seeing figurines made with it always gives you that little twinge of nostalgia. The style Aurora has been rendered with is also intriguing, I like the button-eyes that give it that simplistic cuteness. Too bad the pictures didn't include the glowing horn.
Shows some profience with sculpting. It's nice and cute, but it just doesn't seem to spark any emotion in me the way Forest Pony does. It lack interest, and technical sides wont make up for it.
After all this time, we would once again like to thank all the wonderful submissions we received for the competition! This doesn't mark the end of our Deviantart activity though: more official art will continue to be added to the group. And if you still want to keep on ponifying Finland, we do accept fan art as well!
And who knows, maybe we'll have another competition like this in the future too!
