Yet another drawing of Sheppard.

H, HB, and 2B pencil, powdered graphite, Photoshop. This is actually a digital composite of the pencil drawing and the graphite background -- I drew first and wanted to add the background, but was too nervous to apply the powdered graphite to the finished drawing.

I've never used the powder before, and I liked the effects I could get but had some trouble controling them. I need a good bit more practice.

McKay: Just don't touch anything, okay?

John: relax! (goes over to the console and looks at it-that's the drawing-extends a hand and pushes a button: all the light go off) Ooops.

I have a hyperactive imagination.

Now I'm watching SGA 1 E11 and I have to say that at he beginning i don't like him but now I like him he reminds me the "rogue character" of O'Neill

Could you give me a link to SGA Club here on dA.

Thanks! Glad you liked. Sheppard has always been my favorite -- yeah, it's the rogue/rebel character that works for me.

The SGA club is here: [link]

Wonderful! The nose looks just a little odd to me, but it doesn't detract that much. You have a great sense of texture and comp in this piece.

Your drawings are beautiful. I love this one, it's so realistic. I would suggest more contrast, though. Make the darks a little darker...

I love stargate, too, btw. :giggle:

Wow, thanks. And thanks for the concrit! I went back and looked at the original, and while there are a few darks (particularly in his clothes -- why, oh why, to the tac vests have to be black?) that could stand to be darker, a fair bit of the problem seems to be the scan.

I keep messing with my scanner settings, and the last time I changed things, I really seemed to have made the scans worse rather than better. So I tried a rescan with slightly different settings, and I think this version is closer to the original. Either that, or now the contrast is too high. ::headdesk::
