Woaw, Hinata look really "adult" in your style, she gave a more mature feel. Really good  artwork, nice coloring.

As far as the picture itself goes, excellent work. :) But to me, that can't be the same Hinata from Naruto. This girl has too much style, the personality that shows in this picture, you can't even compare with the one in the show.

Even her hair is not in the same league, it's like she just came out of the Hair Salon. This girl just has on the same clothes as Hinata. I wish she was in the show to replace the Hinata lol.

i think it was basically just a matter of style. While japaneses mangaka often draw girls to make them look cute, if you look at crysiblu's work, she often draw character with more "adult" and "womanly" features (look at her fan-art of Hestia or Lucy Heartfillia and compare to the originals). i think that's why Hinata look more femme fatale here. but to me, it still appear to be the same character, just draw in a other artist style, and that's really good art. (just my very own opinion, though and you might not agree).

Why did you go through the trouble of telling me that?
visiteur2's avatar
no particular reason. i just happen come across your comment, and thought it might be interesting to discuss point of views.
Sorry if i have bugged you or annoyed you. ;) (Wink)

Then in that case, what was it about my comment that made you want to discuss these point of views?

And no, I'm not annoyed, I was confused a little because I didn't understand why would someone waste their time telling me that, when it's completely pointless compared to my initial comment.

Which I was complimenting her work and her style. So that just goes back to my question, what was the point of that?

well, while you where saying that you like the picture (and i agree that the art is really good), you also pointed out how hinata look very different from what she look like in the original, and that for you, it look like another person dressed like Hinata. (or did i misunderstood what you where saying?)
For me, even if the artstyle emphasize different stuff than the actual manga/anime style, she still look like Hinata and does not seems out of character.

Alright I understand where you're coming from.

"For me, even if the artstyle emphasize different stuff than the actual manga/anime style, she still look like Hinata and does not seems out of character."

*Nooo, she doesn't lol, as far as her face goes anyways. As you said, it's a different style.

Another thing, comparing this to the shows version of Hinata, this Hinata is not the same as far as personality, characteristics and her pose in this picture goes.

If I were to compare this to any character in Naruto, specifically the Genin 12, it would be Ino. That pose shows elegance, beauty, confidence. There is no hint of shyness whatsoever in this Hinata at all.

Hinata is a shy girl, and yes she has beauty too,but she doesn't fluant it like Ino does, (like in this picture here) even if she has had a few confident moments, it doesn't change the fact that she will always be a shy, and somewhat timid girl. Ino on the other hand, is what characteristics this picture portrays the most, off the top of my head.

Have you seen Ino's Ultimate Jutsu in the storm games and others before it, she moves, spins, and dances around like she's a princess or a diva, with flower petals around her lol. This picture shows, elegance, confidence, beauty, from the facial expression on down to the body language, is not Hinata at all sir.

That's Ino Yamanaka. :)

I actually have to disagree with you on the personality aspect, coz I think that Hinata came along way from the shy girl she use to be in season 1. She may still have some shyness that in general but she has a lot of confident moments in battle, which is inspired by her admiration of Naruto. As far as the hair and pose goes, that's just my style. I drew it that way because I like to show movement in my art.

I don't mind if you don't like my artwork of her, I understand. But I feel I had to say something in terms of understanding a character I've watched and admired since I was 12.

*Well I didn't intend to get into that much detail but, now that I consider it, so the only way Hinata is inspired and have any kind of confidence in herself is because of Naruto? Does she just ignore all of the other Ninja's that are working just as hard? That doesn't do anything for her?

So when Naruto isn't there or she's not thinking about him, nothing else can inspire her to become a stronger Ninja? Not even family? Her sister being in danger? Something?

I'm asking this because I never thought of that until now. Which....that sounds alot worse than what I thought.

*As for the hair and pose. Yes, I already knew that, but it still doesn't negate the fact that it shows alot of personality (moreso than in the show) it's cool, and way more confident, with style. Which brings me to my next question.

Which is something I do not understand at all but how did you get the idea that I didn't like your artwork, when I stated plain as day

"As far as the picture itself goes, excellent work." :)

How does that translate to If I don't like the artwork of her?

I wouldn't say that he is the sole inspiration of her strength, but thinking back to the Chunin exams, when Hinata went up against Neji- I think if it wasn't for Naruto's never give up attitude displayed in the previous written exam, Hinata would given up in that match. Throughout the entire serious she has flashbacks of when Naruto struggled but he never gave up, I'm not saying that she has flashbacks in every battle or the Naruto himself has to be there to give her strength or that he's the only one to give her confidence, but looking back to the beginning, I don't think she would've been who she was if he hadn't shown her the Way of the Ninja.

I did read that part but it seems to me like you're not happy with my interpretation or at least some aspects of it(is what I was talking about) but please, this is a fanart I drew for my love of Hinata and the series. I'm not saying that my interpretation is the absolute most accurate, because it's just an opinion. My reply was not meant to spark a debate or say that you're wrong in any way, I choose to respond because I didn't want it to seems as though I'm drawing Hinata in a glamorous pose for nothing. This is how I see her, and this is how I choose to show my admiration of her- which is my Way of an ArtistHeart Meow :3

*Yes it was Naruto's "never give up" attitude that landed her in the hospital near death. It was her friend and comrade Kiba who was more concerned about her life than her pride that was telling her to back out.

Hinata already knew what Neji's intention was, she also knew she couldn't beat him, which Hinata ONLY remembered what Naruto had said and did, which made her pull a stupid move (although she lasted longer than I expected)

Hinata knows her situation and cousin Neji, better than anyone outside of the Hyuga Clan, her friends Kiba and Shino knew and understood her situation, which is why they were more concerned for her life.

Even her teacher Kurenai knew what Hinata was dealing with. Naruto had no business sticking his mouth in that. And what happened at the end, Hinata laying on the ground coughing up blood, having a near death experience, which if it weren't for the other Ninja stepping in (not Naruto) Neji would have killed her.

Hinata is NOT Naruto, bottom line. Naruto has Masashi Kishimoto in his corner lol. Hinata doesn't. Naruto has is a Jinchurikki, he has the nine-tailed fox, Hinata doesn't, Naruto can do hand signs while being trapped in Gaara's Sand Coffin (which I thought you couldn't move when trapped in that)

Hinata and the other ninja couldn't. (Like the rain Ninja Gaara killed in the forest of death) but for some non-sensical reason, Naruto could move and do hand signs.

What works for him, doesn't mean it will work for others. Also, what IS the Ninja Way? I thought everybody said they had their OWN Ninja Way, so what is THE Ninja Way? I don't get that.

*Oh I understand now, I actually thought that WAS the interpretation of your picture.(You know, cool, alot of personality, it shows Hinata in a better light, that type of thing)

So...it wasn't what I thought? Oh..well I misinterpreted that. Well in that case forget what I said on this picture then lol. I thought that's what you were going for. Oh well, take care crysiblu :)
