wow, the last journal I made here was july 2013, so I guess that pretty much goes to show how inactive I've been here for the past 2+ years!

I'm gonna do my best to catch this place up and try to be a little more active here because I honestly really miss having an art-focused community to post on. 

(also, creepyfish ---> cryptosilver, as I've been wanting to change it for a while and have a more cohesive username here!)

I hope everyone's been doing well over here, if I haven't seen you much on tumblr/twitter the past few years! I travel often and go to a lot of cons, I work on a webcomic called Quick$ilver that updates every tuesday that I love dearly and devote as much of my time to as possible... I paint and make patterns that I use on apparel/accessories that I sell, and I'm still dealing with a RSI (tendonitis in my wrist) that keeps me from drawing quite as much as I'd like to, but I'm learning!

I'll be selling at A-fest next week and at Yaoicon next month, and hopefully when things settle down a bit I'll open commissions in october.

My watercolor commissions are open (at last) !!
I'll be taking a few until 5 slots fill up- when they're full I'll put you on a waitlist and you'll be next on the list when I open more slots.

ALSO- because I don't seem to have any examples of the "value color" style, let me just explain that it'd be simply like a greyscale commission except that I'd use a couple muted colors to shade instead of just grey. 

All commissions include 1 character at the base price and will be done on approx 8.5x11 inch watercolor paper and mailed to the commissioner upon completion. (shipping price not included- generally expect ~$3 shipping for US and ~$7 for international)

Price for additional characters is +$35 for full color and +$25 for value color.

I first wanted to say thanks to those who featured me with a recent daily deviation! I really appreciate it!

I've certainly been pretty scarce on deviantart this past year; I'm primarily active on tumblr these days, but I still check in here and will continue to post some of my favorite pieces. I update much more on tumblr though, so if you hang around there and don't want to miss a vast majority of the art I post, please follow me there! The links are below.

I'll be graduating in a couple weeks from RISD... it's very surreal, and I still have a lot left to sort out. I'm planning to start up commissions again, as well as my online shop, starting in early summer. When I do I'll let you all know!


I've got a few conventions lined up for this summer. So far I definitely plan to be at AX, Otakon and A-fest, as well as possibly also Boston Comic Con (seeing as I couldn't do AB this year, it'll be nice to do something else in Boston)


On another note, I've been working hard on my webcomic, Acanthity, and I'm really hoping I can increase to bi-weekly updates starting this summer. Read it here if you haven't already!
