How to Join If you want to join the group, it couldn't be any easier: just click on the 'join our group' button in the top bar. Then just wait for the 'accepted' notification, and you're all set! Submissions We accept submissions of all artwork relating to cryptozoology. Have you done a portrait of Big Foot? A landscape featuring Nessie? A still-life with a Mokele-Mbembe egg? Go ahead and add it to the gallery! Remember, though, art should have something to do with cryptids. Fantasy animals (like unicorns and griffins), original characters (creatures you made up yourself), and more sci-fi creatures (like aliens and zombies) aren't generally considered to be cryptids (note: we make exception for Slenderman--although he was made up as a faux cryptid, he's become widely embraced enough to merit inclusion in our gallery). Hey guys, I have a question. Is it wrong for me to still believe that Nessie is a plesiosaur? I responded to Illustratedmenagerie's Loch Ness Monster, and I tried to explain why I respectfully disagree with the whole Wels Catfish and Eel theory. But for some reason, I'm getting chewed out for just believing that Nessie could be a plesiosaur. Plesiosaurs are closely related to sea turtles, so I figured that they'd behave similarly, holding their breaths for possibly 8-10 hours, living in small groups, and only migrating to the Loch to reproduce.
But when I tried to explain my idea, I got chewed out for it. I even said in my post that I could be wrong. Yet I still got chewed out. I'm sorry for posting this, I'm not trying to cause trouble, I was just trying to explain why I believe in the plesiosaur theory. Nessie will always be my favorite Cryptid, no matter what people say, I will still be in the plesiosaur theory.

I’m one of the co-founders (I didn’t actually make the group, I was made a co-founder later to help with admin) of this group and, um, well, it’s not been too active has it lmao
I’m not really sure what to do as the other co-founder and original founder don’t seem to have come on DA for a loooooooong time. I don’t know how to run a group, I can’t even out this in journal form because someone else has to accept it, so if anyone is still interested in this thing, could you help me out on it please?
And I must apologise for the lack of activity, been a bit of a weird time for me the past 2 years (well, it’s been a weird time for everyone, hasn’t it) and this group was honestly at the very back of my mind.

This group is pretty much dead; the Founder is the only admin and she hasn't been online for weeks. As a result, there's no-one to accept/decline submissions, which are all just expiring.
