I did this layout for the 2008 SPD (Society of Publication Designers) student competition. I won 2nd place.
My inspiration came from Kanye's, "Good Life" music video.
Typography was hand drawn then vectorized. The image of Kanye was extensively treated from the original to match the theme of the spreads.
