Thank you for including me in your collection !! It is a great honor to see my artwork next to such extraordinary and brilliant artworks!!!
The truth is that
I was really surprised that you included "Ιnside Pams" in your collection since it was made in order to talk about the difficulty of people getting involved in complicated and noisy projects
and the need of modern art to offer art lovers easy to read and easily readable artworks. I do not want to be misunderstood I am in a phase of searching and constant experimentation with the materials, styles and comments I want to make through my works
but at the same time frustrated by the lack of inspiration and
spontaneity that i see in artworks of many artists who are forced in this motif in order to sell their artwork.
I would be very happy to hear your opinion. +fav Heart

I can only respond to what I see in front of me.  It's just me and the art. The art is successful or not on its own merits. I saw something in your collage that made me want to include it in a Ten Collage Review.
I don't know (and don't really want to know) the backstory -- why a piece was made, what it is intended to convey. I don't want to read or be told what I am "supposed" to see or feel or think.

Personally, I don't believe in inspiration so I can't tell if someone else has been inspired or not. I believe in work and interacting with the work as I make it. I often quote Chuck Close on inspiration:
Inspiration is for amateurs - the rest of us just show up and get to work. And the belief that things will grow out of the activity itself and that you will - through work - bump into other possibilities and kick open other doors that you would never have dreamt of if you were just sitting around looking for a great art idea.

These are great.  Did you ever take any classes at UW from Richie Kehl?  He used to (1970) give periodic slide shows of images for a whole class; no academics-just the click of a slide projector.  Kehl has been on my mind for a few days; and Gary Draeger/Cooper Edens.

I owe you many thanks for mentioning Richie Kehl.  I looked at his work (on line) yesterday and again this morning.  Wonderful work. And he refers to himself as a visual poet which really caught my eye. That's a genre that has interested me for sometime.
It seems to be a bit more difficult to find info on Gary Draeger and Cooper Edens.  Is the Cooper Edens you're talking about a children's book illustrator?

Yes, Gary Drager (mis-spelled in my original post) is Cooper Edens.  He and Kehl did a couple of books together and they were pals at one time.  Kehl was a young professor to Gary (now 75).    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooper_E…
Glad you got something from my post.

No. I'm not familiar with any of those name but now I'll see what I can find.

I did my undergrad work at Virginia Commonwealth University and grad work at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
