Sprawl by crucian Sprawl by crucian
Molly from Neuromancer. I still kind of want to be William Gibson when I grow up.

Originally in markers, then hacked apart and viciously beaten in Photoshop.

I'm going to China in a few days.

I've always been confused in the book. About whether Molly had white or black hair.

Odd that I missed this picure. Anyway, this is a cool picture of the Sprawl. Nice interpretation of Molly, too.

I like the messy, smoggy feel the picture has to it; a lot of "Neuromancer" art is very glossy and filled with light and dark contrast--which rocks--but I think this style is an equally interesting and valid way to interpret Gibson's world.

You've done Molly a lot of justice in this. It's amazing, she looks strong but still feminine and definitely like someone you wouldn't want to mess with.

I love the way she just stands apart from the background but they still work well together. Also, I've never seen her occular implants work so well with her face. In most drawings of her they look unnatural, but in this one they fit right with her.

Will you ever draw Case?

Ah! Paid attention to the zippers. very nice. :D

I have yet to draw my own interpretations of them and looking at other people's is breaking my own rules, but, oh well.

ASDF You put the most awesome colours together. The sketchy linework of the background is wicked too, it doesn't let me look away. D:

You know, I dislike resorting to DA's emoticons, but I feel this is really the only appropriate response to your comment:

Carry on! :D

And here I was expecting something totally horrible (not really).

Pretty cool, good character desing, the background makes her look like she's floating in mid-air. Seg is right about the light.

Digital+traditional artings are the shiznat, so I'd definitely encourage you to play around with markers again.

A thought though: might it be an idea to darken her hair on the left side, and brighten up the right slightly?

Definitely nice.

Could you maybe ink to the markers version? I'm curious now
