Chronomorphing Test

A few years ago I wanted to see if I could achieve the effect of aging an animated character from the point of a child to an adult, showing all of the physical changes that come with age.

Initially I had wanted to attempt this using traditional frame by frame animation.
I had not felt that my skill in digital animation was on the same level as my hand drawn animation. However, the result was less than impressive and I ended up scrapping the idea for the time being.

Now, In 2007 I have decided to retest this idea using what I have learned from other projects over the years. What you are about to see is the first full resolution test of this technique using Adobe Flash.

The result is what I call Chronomorphing or Chronomorphimation, which is essentially the combination of extreme time lapse and morphing applied to an animated character.
