READ RIGHT TO LEFT, PLEASE
A few months ago our awesome literature teacher gave us an artistic assignment based on the excellent play - 'Doll's House' by Henrik Ibsen (1828-1906). I really liked the idea and decided to do a comic out of the two last pages of the book that turned out to be three pages of comics. Took four, full days to finish. I really worked hard to hand it in on time, but it was worth it. I needed a good grade, and I learned tons about doing comics. I've learned since then as well, but I'm still really proud of this, it's probably my first, most proffesional comic.
My teacher really liked it so I let her keep the original pages, but I scanned them, and here they are.
only the first one is fully pencilled, inked and colored like I wanted, I didn't have time for the rest, plus the brown charcoal I used for the backround was awful to work with.
Nora: "I won't take any help from strangers."
Helmer: "Won't I ever be in your eyes any more than a strager?"
Nora: "Ah, Torvald, for that to change the greatest miracle must happen..."
Helmer: "Tell what is the greatest miracle!"
Nora: "Both of us, you and me, must change ourselves in such a way...
"But Torvald, I don't believe in miracles anymore"
"But I believe. Finish what you wanted to say. Change in such a way..."
Nora: "That our life together will become a real mirriage."
Helmer: "Nora! Nora!"
Helmer: "Empty. Gone."
Helmer: "The greatest miracle...?"
