Steven Wilson I

If someone asks me who is the best musician of this era, without any doubt I'd answer: Steven Wilson. He is what I would call a musical genius. His music moves towards progressive rock, to metal or even pop - not mentioning drone, industrial, etc.

The date: 15th April, 2009. The place: Insurgentes Rock Shop, Mexico City. He was signing some autographs and I was bound to be there. Insurgentes avenue was the scenery that inspired him to title his most recent album and, for once, I felt proud of being Mexican.

Si alguien me preguntara quién es el mejor músico de esta era, sin duda alguna diría: Steven Wilson. Es lo que llamaría un genio musical. Su música se mueve en el rock progresivo, el metal e incluso el pop - sin mencionar el drone, industrial, etc.

La fecha: 15 de abril de 2009. El lugar: Rock Shop Insurgentes, Ciudad de México. Estaba firmando algunos autógrafos y yo tenía que estar ahí. La avenida de Insurgentes fue la que lo inspiró para titular su más reciente álbum y, por una vez, me sentí orgulloso de ser mexicano.
