1. What are you on dA for?
Several reasons - I love browsing through other peoples' work, whether visual or lit, and admiring all the ridiculously talented people on this site; it serves as a reminder to write and a source of inspiration when inspiration is lacking; and there are so many great ways to get better at creating art.
2. Who is your favorite dA member and why?
This is a hard one. Probably =bekkia, because she is an amazing writer but is also really involved in the community and willing to reach out to new people.
3. Tell us a bit about yourself!
I'm a high school student who loves writing and reading. I play the flute and contra dance, tango, waltz, and take some modern dance. I LOVE dance. I'm curious and sarcastic and a bit of a perfectionist, but am eager to work on my writing.
4. Why did you join *Critique-It?
One of the main reasons I am on this site is to become a better writer, and one of the best ways to do that is to get critique. I found this group and it seems like a great place to do just that.
5. What's your favorite piece from your gallery? Why do you like it so much?
Another hard one, but probably Song of Silence. I like the concept of explaining silence and I like the irony of singing of silence, and I think I conveyed my point pretty well. The rhythm of the piece moves smoothly, too. I always find rhythm to be one of the most important things in poetry.
6. Do you give critique? Why or why not?
I have barely any technical training in writing, so often I feel under-qualified to critique a piece, but if something occurs to me and the author has asked for critique I'll often mention it.
