1. What are you on dA for?
I am on DA to become a better artist and a better person. I love the friends I make, and I love helping others improve their art.
2. Who is your favorite dA member and why?
~Blacknewfs her work features a lot of my favorite dog breed (Newfoundlands) and is generally pretty amazing. Unlike other photographers whose subject is mainly animals, she captures a lot of expression in all of her pictures. She also takes the pictures for a rescue she's involved with, so it's a great cause.
3. Tell us a bit about yourself!
I have three dogs, two ten-year-old mixes named Stormy and Velvet and one two-year-old Newfoundland named Nova. I also have three cats, though only one of them wants anything to do with me, Nox, and he acts like a dog most of the time. ^^ Strange house, isn't it? I mainly stay in the photography and literature category as I have little to no artistic skills where drawing is concerned.
4. Why did you join *Critique-It?
I love the idea of constructive criticism because unlike comments like "cool", it helps the artist IMPROVE. It's great when someone really likes your work, but it's even better when you know what to fix about it. It seemed like a great idea for a club.
5. What's your favorite piece from your gallery? Why do you like it so much?
I love this picture because it shows my favorite wolf in the Discovery Center in West Yellowstone named Summit. He was the omega, which sort of reminds me of my dog, and I loved his floppy ear. ^^ The picture itself doesn't really have anything wrong with it, and the rain drops in the background adds a cool effect. I'm just very happy with it.
6. Do you give critique? Why or why not?
I give critique when it is asked. I've learned that some people DON'T want it, and then it goes badly. I only give critiques on photography or prose, though. I don't have the experience or expertise to critique anything else.
