I highly recommend that if you like this you share it on your Facebook, Imagur, Instagram, or any other form you want. I made it for YOU! It would be nice if you named me Crimson Vermillion as the artist and/or linked back to my Deviantart page but it isn't strictly needed if you leave on my CV signature.

The New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Sonnet by American poet Emma Lazarus (1849–1887), written in 1883

Beautiful words. Hadn't read them in way too long.  And thank you for presenting them to us in all their purity, without bias or manipulation or for the support of any one cause.
