It helps when you have a good camera; XDD.
I guess just practice and a little bit of luck.

XD Luck is something I don't seem to have too often myself.

Just curious, what kind of camera do you have? o3o

I hear you. (*˘︶˘*)

At present; I am a proud owner of a cannon 600D DSR Camera, but may be looking to manage to upgrade to a newer model. (๑・v・๑) have bought a few other accessories: a sturdy tripod, (plus a little one for macro shots.) A better multipurpose lens with a reasonable zoom length on it. A macro lens from my older cousin (he gave it to me: still practicing with it.) and a shutter speed remote (for star and nocturnal shoots)
I've had the camera for roughly around 3 years now; I was studying a screen and media course at uni when I was first introduced to the camera.. for one of the assessment pieces, we were to create a video detailing the difference between the city of Brisbane vrs the suburban lifestyle of your own area of your choice. I'd safely be able to film using the camera provided by the Uni for shooting the city pieces.. but they would not allow one to take it home; (fear of damages etc) I was stuck as to what to do.. my parents decided to purchase one for me, not only for the assessment; but for general practice, as when I was young, I was and did take an significant interest in photography. (Back then with little more than a small Olympus modal) seems.. seems.. it has dawned on me now that what started out as a mere fascination with textiles and unique combinations of eye catching patterns, has blossomed into a fully fledged career pathway.. who'd have thought eh?

Pretty soon I'll be joining a local camera club to sharpen up my skills, but until then, most of what I have learned so far was from uni (basic information and principles of the camera's settings and photography in general..) and with my own observations and experience. (∩_∩)
