basic background tutorial (vid added)

as requested a tutorial about basic backgrounds - including tips I keep in mind when drawing these - I'm not a professional and all that is written there is my personal way of doing things, don't complain if it doesn't work for you ;3

note that this is a tutorial for basic backgrounds, not detailed backgrounds, because there is no recipe for these - there are several things like composition, perspective and color theory you have to have knowledge about before you get a grip on detailed backgrounds.
