We scanned our faces in art class, then painted it (no tracing involved!) It was to be monochromatic with high contrast. I'm very proud of it :) Acrylic on canvas, my first real acrylic on canvas painting

There are no effects - it's a painting :)

I know, I just mean the effects that you gave to it by painting.

This is very eyecatching. I think the whole concept is fun, and the green colour was a good choice

I love the feeling of claustrophobia. Actually I am very touched by the great CSI episode directed by Tarantino (I don't know if you saw it but please, keep reading). Is about one of the CSI guys who is buried alive in a perpex coffin, and they let him some glow sticks to have light. The green light gives a lot of creeps. It's really cool how it looks like your pic, that why it makes for me a Fav.

Very nice, acrylic is hard paint to get consistent shades with, at least in my opinion. You did really nicely with the contrast and likeness. I also like the long hand smear on the left. Neat, I like it.

The effect is awesome!!! Though the lines might be imperfect, that's exactly the charm of it... the shading is very well done; i like the contrast and the fact that half of your face is left in darkness. ;) And I love the two colours you chose! Did you really paint on green paper or is this effect added after that?

Very good for a first try! You should deffinitely do some more ;)

The only colors I used were green, black and white on white canvas. Thank you!

This is cool looking! I think the palm of the hand in the lower right corner should be a bit longer, but otherwise I really like how you did the detail of the fingernails and the glitter of the rings.

Thanks! Yeah the palm is a little longer than that - if you look you'll see that the border is also cut off, it's because the canvas was slightly too big for my scanner bed.. ah well. :glomp:

Yeah, I have trouble with my scanner too small sometimes, too. 'Tis a great pic anyways. ^^
