Forest Gypsy by crimson-ivory Forest Gypsy by crimson-ivory
Model: Ashlyhne.

We did a little shoot today, but unfortunately, half-way through, my battery died :P. Dumb me forgot to charge it! Ah well, we can go back later and shoot more. I was really happy with how this turned out.

Please full-view!

Don't know tooo much about photography to critique well.. hmm.. This is lovely photo, though (: I prefer photos that are more close up, though, isntead of full body. Focusing and lighting look good. I also prefer subjects to me more off toward the side instead of toward the the middle like here :3 nice job!

Such a nice shot.

I'm not good with criticism but I like the fatc that she in perfectly centered. Also the blue of her clothes goes well with the green colours of the picture.

Nice job. :)

pretty good stuff. i like the wide-angle look of this and the setting. the model's pose is a little aloof looking but not to a serious degree. i would like to see more detail in the shadows. the softness of tis is nice as well. the blown out highlights in the grass behind her is a little distracting. i would recommend shooting during dusk for photos like this as it makes nature look more dramatic and improves skin tones.

Thank you! I'll try shooting this at dusk, that's a great idea!

Personally, this photograph was the one which brought me your way. On HammyHorror's thread in the forums you said that people don't seem to be liking this one so much, but it caught my attention right away. Now maybe that's because it was the central thumb in your thumbshares or maybe it's because the model looks stunning. In either case, I'll give my two cents.

I think that this photograph contains a universe of balance unto itself. The subject has been shot at a pefect angle so that all the elements seem to be harmonized. She is completely centered and the way she reaches for the tree helps to suggest an expansion beyond just what the viewer sees. I believe I might fave this one I like it so much.

So there ya go. I'm no photographer, but I like it.

Here's my plug for myself:

its a nice photo but the background needs to be more blurry and maybe you should try some cross coloring affects?
:P

Thanks! I'll definitely try to add some more depth of field and playing with colors is always fun! I'll have to take this into photoshop :)
